Whoa.

If you mozied on over to this site earlier today, you would’ve been greeted by nothing (maybe an error message or a fresh Wordpress install). Sorry about that, but it’s all part of a much bigger picture.

And I’m going to tell you what that bigger picture is. As you may know, I’ve been working on a little pet project in my spare time. It’s still ongoing, and it’s starting to look like something. It’s nowhere near ready for launch, but I decided that I need to find a host. The host I was using didn’t have support for Django, so I signed up with RailsPlayground.net (they actually specialize in RoR hosting, but they do support Django, and they came highly recommended).

The account I went with gives me 7GB of space. That’s a lot. So, I figured I’ll move this site over as well and save myself some money.

Damn, was it a lot of work. Every little site and sub-site on the old host had to be moved over, domains had to be updated, etc, etc.

All said and done, I’m happy it’s over. Hopefully the site is even a little bit speedier.
